10 old Nickelodeon shows to remind you of your happy times as a child with lots of free time

I remember coming back from school and getting to spend my afternoon watching some episodes of my favorite TV shows. I was always a Nickelodeon girly. They were funnier to me than Disney Channel and Disney XD. The songs they had in each show were amazing, and now every time I hear them, I get hit with nostalgia. They were number 1 hits in my house.

We had a whole bunch of TV shows during the good ages of Nickelodeon, basically the 2010s. The oldest one I watched was Drake and Josh. It was a fun comedy about two stepbrothers who had to move together because their parents had gotten married. One of them, Drake, also had a little sister who was an evil little girl who was always looking to make her brothers suffer. It was hilarious and a little dark, the best mix. Another one that is pretty old was Zoey 101. I wasn’t a big fan of it, but a lot of great actors who became the next generation of stars in new shows came out of it.

Then we had iCarly, a show about three friends who decided to put up a show online where they did crazy things and interacted with their fans through funny videos. It was a great use of implementing something new at the time, YouTube, into the traditional form of media that TV is. At almost the same time, we had Victorious, which was also a group of friends, but they were all in an arts school to become actors, singers, dancers, and performers. This had the best characters, the quirkier and funnier ones. When both of these shows ended, we got a new show called Sam &Cat, which combined two important characters from Victorious and iCarly, but it wasn’t as big of a success as their previous shows.

Down memory lane, we can think of a bunch of other shows that were also really important to the ones who saw them, but that weren’t exactly the most well-known ones. My favorite Nickelodeon show was Big Time Rush, a comedy about a boy band that moved from Minnesota to Los Angeles to make music. But there were also Ned’s Declassified, Haunted Hathaways, Henry Danger, and The Thundermans. Which of these were your favorite growing up?
